Welcome to Williams Life Center! The Williams Life Center, Inc. (WLC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation established in 1998 for the expressed purpose of serving youth and families in the Washington Metropolitan area. WLC has its’ roots in the firm belief that children and families have the opportunity to receive services and supports in the home and community-based settings, regardless of the complexity of their conditions, the level of their disabilities, or the challenges of their behaviors. The programs are highly structured and specifically designed to assist youth with identifying and building upon their inherent strengths, addressing and resolving issues related to their past, preventing institutionalization, and facilitating a healing process.
Become a Foster Parent Williams Life Center, Inc.(WLC)  is always accepting applications for prospective foster parents. Foster parenting is filled with challenges and opportunities. It can be challenging to parent children with difficult histories. Becoming a foster parent is an opportunity to care for children who benefit greatly from your love and support.
Get Involved Contributing to the Williams Life Center, Inc. (WLC) can take many forms. WLC welcomes the contributions of community members as well as community organizations and businesses. Small and large monetary donations are a very important way the community supports WLC and the children we serve. Members of our community are also encouraged to volunteer their time to WLC activities. In addition to donating money and time, interested parties can also host a fundraiser with WLC or simply purchase items to further progress toward the WLC mission from our Target Wish List.
Mentor a Group Home Resident Become involved with one of our youth residing in a group home! Getting involved with the Williams Life Center, Inc. (WLC) by getting to know a youth resident can be a rich and rewarding experience for both you and the resident. Establishing this kind of relationship allows you to bond with a youth on terms tailored to both you and the youth. This process begins when you contact WLC to get involved. Soon after, we match you with a resident we believe is a good match for you. Young people in our programs benefit greatly when caring adults become involved with them and their lives.
